Rappelling in Hvalba on the 12th of Sep.
On Saturday the 12th of September 2009 there will be rappelling in Hvalba in a place west of the village, which is called Norðbergseiði. The rappelling will be from 5 o'clock in the afternoon until 8 o'clock in the evening.

Try the Life on a Sheep Farm in Sumba
A sheep farmer in Sumba who is called Arnfríð Hentze is now offering an authentic experience for tourists. They can come to Sumba and help her to gather her sheep together in a sheep fold and to cut their wool.

Hiking in Suðuroy every Saturday morning
Every Saturday from the 16th of May to the 15th of August there will be hiking trips in the mountain in Suðuroy, if at least 5 persons will participate. The trips will be different places every time. We will follow the old walking path between the villages by following the cairns.

Saint John’s Festival and Music Event on the 26th–28th of June
This year Tvøroyri in Suðuroy will arrange the Festival of Saint John, Jóansøka, it changes every two years between the largest towns in the island Suðuroy: Vágur and Tvøroyri. It will be a sports- cultural and musical event which will last for three days. The music event will be on Saturday night from 18 until just before midnight, when all the people who are gathered in Tvøroyri that evening will meet and sing together to a midnight’s singing.
