Dalur is a part of the community of Húsavík. In the community, there lives about 142 people. Dalur is one of the villages in the Faroe Islands, which has been very isolated. The road to the village was made in 1964. Today there have been made plans to build a tunnel from Húsavík to Dalur, because of the danger for the traffic. The church in Dalur was built in 1957, and it is a nice tourist attraction. In the south end of Dalur is a puffin-colony. In 2006 there was built a small FIFA-football course for the children in Dalur. Attractions: |
